Eastern Cape San Rock Art
There are several rock art sites in the Rhodes area, some of which have been the subject of research by experts in the field.
Unfortunately, ill-informed, uncaring or just plain bloody-minded people have desecrated many sites throughout South Africa including in our region. In order to ensure the continued conservation of sites in the area, visitors are accompanied by the landowners or their appointees. To ensure access, timeous arrangements must be made i.e. preferably prior to your arrival at Walkerbouts.
Arrangements can be made by contacting the Rhodes Tourist & Information Centre,
