“The Cubby-Hole”

With a ¾ bed equipped with an electric blanket and panel heater help ward off the winter chill. The en suite facility has a shower and the room is ideal for the single folk. Decades ago, it was used by the then-owner, the late Paul Alberts, as a photographic darkroom.

Alberts, described as “one of South Africa’s leading social-political documentary photographers” was a photographer, writer, and publisher who “managed to unerringly capture the essence of the mood and character of his subjects”.
